Good things come to those who check the letterbox.
Want to take the illustrations beyond your live list? Meet DRAWN by Post.
Guests write their own postal address onto an A6 postcard and have their photo snapped at your event. (Which, conveniently, means no hunting down Aunt Linda’s address three weeks later.)
I illustrate them back in the studio, then return the postcards to you. You add a message, a stamp and your best handwriting, and into the post they go.
And for weddings? If that message happens to say thank you for celebrating with us… well, that’s the thank-you cards taken care of too.
A few weeks after the party’s over, your event checks in again. Postmarked, personal and a very good piece of mail.
*An optional alternative to additional A4 studio illustrations for weddings and private events.
SET THE SCENE

I’ll arrive around 30 minutes before your event to set up shop.
Outdoors? Gorgeous. I’ll just need a dry, shaded spot to keep the paper crisp and my eyes out of the glare.
Then, we’re on.
SNAP. Guests have a quick photo taken, add their name to the live list and can head straight back to the party while I get to work.
STAY OR STRAY. Some will wander off. Some will pull up a chair. Some will return suspiciously often to see who’s appearing on the page next. That’s half the fun.
GOT VIPS? Let me know beforehand and I’ll quietly make sure they find their way to the top of my list.
LEAVE THE LIST TO ME. I’ll work through the number of portraits included in your package, managing the live list as I go.
You host and I draw. The illustrations make their way into the party.
Since you’re wondering.

Usually around 6–12 guests per hour, depending on whether I’m drawing singles or couples.
Each package has a set live capacity, so you’ll know exactly what’s included before you book.

Not a problem. A large guest list doesn’t mean everyone needs to be illustrated live.
We can use a first-in list, reserve spots for VIPs, add studio portraits or DRAWN by Post, or bring in a second illustrator for larger numbers.

Each package includes a set number of illustrations. I’ll work through as many as possible live, then finish any remaining included portraits back in the studio.
More guests than your package includes? You’ve got options. Add A4 studio portraits for $30 per person, choose DRAWN by Post, or simply stick with the number already included.

Two people count as two guests, whether they’re illustrated together or separately.
Romance has its limits.

No. I take a quick reference photo and their name, then they’re free to head straight back to the party.
I draw from the photo, so nobody needs to choose between being illustrated and getting another drink.

These are fashion illustrations rather than traditional portraits. I capture your likeness, outfit, hair and the details that make you recognisably you, interpreted in DRAWN’s signature style.

As early as possible, particularly for popular wedding dates and events requiring travel. I only take on a limited number of events each month.
If you’re coming in fashionably late, ask anyway. Your date may still be available.

A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due four weeks before your event.

Postponing? No problem — you can move to one available date within the next year (as long as you let me know 4+ weeks before the original event).
Further postponements cost $750 per date.
If you cancel, the deposit is non-refundable — and if you cancel within four weeks, the full payment is non-refundable too (I’ll have cleared the decks for you).
A $350 fee may apply for last-minute travel changes. -
